To comply with our "Infection Prevention and Control Policy" during the COVID-19 pandemic patients will be asked questions as part of our "Health Screening" over the phone.
Please call DISPATCH or submit the BOOK-A-RIDE request form at the bottom of this section with your requested date and time as far in advance as possible to ensure a ride will be available.
We Will Ask ...Priority will always be given to patients undergoing cancer treatments and follow-up care.
Within 24 hours, a dispatcher will call to confirm your appointment and arrange a driver for you.
To ensure you are matched with the correct driver and vehicle tell the dispatcher if you have a walker or wheelchair and whether there will be someone accompanying you to your treatment. Vehicles are scent and smoke-free.
The driver will then call you and coordinate your transportation details, including preferred pickup time, type of trip (round trip or one way) and approximate length of your appointment. Your driver will wait for you to ensure a reliable trip home after treatment.
We now provide transportation assistance for children with cancer when accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Our drivers are trained in installing and securing car seats according to the model of the vehicle. Our drivers can use your child’s regular seat (provided it meets regulations), or a seat can be provided. Please provide your child’s age, height, weight and seating requirements at the time of booking.
